Abraham Lincoln assassination conspirators were hang on July 7, 1865, the four convicted conspirators which included the boarding house owner Mary E. Surratt were publicly hanged in the courtyard of what is known today as Fort Lesley J. McNair in in Southwest Washington D.C.
